Shop My Windowsill: PINK VELVET REINDEER (Set of 2 available Here) | MINI PINK HUE BOTTLE BRUSH TREES (By Cody Foster; available Here & Here)
Living in a studio apartment has taught me many things.
But, above all, it has taught me to utilize small spaces to the best of my ability. This goes for organizing but it also goes for decorating! I don’t have much decor (because I also have to store it!), which unfortunately means no tree ☹️. BUT my coworkers and I do a tree every year (and I do a mini tree on my desk as well), so I get my tree fixes elsewhere.
Even in my 460-square-foot studio apartment, I’ve found ways to decorate without creating any clutter. Which, I’ll admit, a good chunk of my decor is various sizes of bottle brush trees (ie: my weakness), but nonetheless it looks minimal, chic, and festive.
Read on for my best tips for decorating small spaces for the holidays (plus shop my favorite relevant pieces)…
Holiday Decor Ideas for Small Spaces:
1. Create the perfect mini tree!
2. Utilize tabletops and window space.
Do some small space decorating by utilizing the empty spaces already available to you. My favorite way to decorate these spaces are with bottle brush trees (linking lots below)! I also have two velvet reindeer that I’ve placed in various tabletops/windowsills within my apartment, but this year I think they’ll be on my side table next to my couch. (image source)
3. Hang cute stuff from coat hooks + book shelves.
4. Deck out your doorways.
5. Add a throw pillow.
This is for sure the easiest way to add holiday flair to a small space! I always add a holiday-esque pillow or two to my couch. (image source)
