Happy National Lipstick Day, everyone! I had no other choice but to make today’s Friday Five about lip products, including my favorite lipsticks.
Top choice of course is the Kylie Lip Kit – read my full review about them here. The colors I’ve been giving the most love lately have been Dolce and Exposed, but still lovin’ them all!
My next favorite lip product is Pixi’s Tinted Brilliance Balm in Unique Pink. It’s a lot like the ever-popular Dior Addict Lip Glow, but way cheaper, smells minty, and is easier to apply. So I think I have to say I prefer the Pixi over Dior; I think the Dior just might stay on a bit longer (and has cuter packaging- which affects way too many of my purchase decisions). Basically it color-changes to a fun bright pink that matches your skin tone! I love it for a subtle wash of color that’s an easy, quick apply.
Next up is the Buxom Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick. I have it in Sinful Cinnamon and it’s a great warm nude. This lipstick has pretty great staying power for not being liquid, and the pigmentation is amazing. And it comes in both matte and satin finishes!
My favorite drugstore lipstick is the Le Matte by L’Oreal. I have it in the color She’s So Matte, which is like a warm, spicy nude-pink. I love this stuff because it goes on and feels really smooth and creamy. And despite not being a liquid, its finish is almost completely matte.
Last, but not least, the seriously important favorite lip balm. I put this on every night before bed, and my lips always wake up smooth moisturized. And I definitely notice in the mornings when I forgot to put it on the night before – this stuff is amazing! I recommend having one at your bedside, desk, and in your bag and you’ll never have dry or chapped lips again!
