Patchwork can easily come off as kitschy, crafty, juvenile – however it’s made quite a comeback for fall fashion this season. Most notably it’s been seen using suede and denim. I have personally been obsessed with suede lately so when I saw this vest I knew I had to have it, plus the price was super reasonable since it was thrifted (found it at the East Village Buffalo Exchange). So unfortunately I can’t share where to get this with you guys, as there was no tag in it and I strangely can’t find anything even remotely like it online. But I linked some great patchwork options at the bottom of this post for you guys to shop (the Topshop jeans from Nordstrom are my favorite) – so make sure to check that out!
I paired my patchwork faux suede vest with a long-sleeve black tunic-y dress, my newest prized possession (Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots), and a black wrap choker(use my code CAROLINE20 for 20% off your order). I love the colors in the vest specifically, I think it will also pair really well with the right jeans.
I’ve never been a fan of patchwork, but the suede + monochrome patches really amp up the luxe level. I encourage you guys to try this trend – it’s fun transforming something that in the past has been considered pretty tacky into something really chic looking.
