I have to say – I’ve been really loving living in Brooklyn. I was definitely skeptical and not the most excited about the idea at first, but knew it was the right decision as far as getting more space (for my wardrobe…) and just overall getting more bang for my buck. But I think I actually prefer living in Brooklyn (gasp!) over Manhattan. There’s a million less (literally) tourists and it has an overall more relaxed vibe that suits me. I do wish I was closer to downtown Brooklyn, but maybe my next apartment! It’s fun living/exploring new areas anyway… which leads me to the focus of this post: my adorable new bike!
Pretty much the only downside of where I’m located now is there aren’t really any grocery stores or pharmacies super close by. My new bike has been a fabulous solve for this. Also the freedom of actually going from point A to point B directly (not with trains/transfers/etc.) and without relying on or paying anyone (aka uber drivers) is incredibly liberating and has been a foreign concept to me the last few years (I miss driving!). Plus it doesn’t hurt that I’m seriously riding in style.
My new Mayfair cruiser bike from Brilliant is just fabulous (I’ve already gotten several compliments from passing strangers). I love that the frame is a chic matte white with just a few mint details here and there to give it some character. I also love that it has three speeds to make it a bit more versatile for both leisure and actually getting places asap; I’ve found that a lot of cruisers usually only have one speed.
I just really can’t say enough great things. And for a gorgeous + quality bike, I think the price is really reasonable and I would consider it to be affordable.
