Rainbow stripes are trending and I’m absolutely loving it. Lately I’ve been making efforts to get more into color – I was actually inspired by the winner of the latest season of Project Runway, Erin Robertson, and the incredible things she does with color (btw she was my fave from the beginning, I was SO happy when she won). I’ve always been a black/grey/white + blue tones kinda gal but I’m branching out finally and it feels good! Perfect for the springtime, too. I highly recommend it because a) color is just SO fun and happy, and b) you’re sure to turn heads wherever you go!
Lately we’ve seen a lot of rainbow stripes on the runway, most notably with Chloe, Mara Hoffman, and Missoni collections. Something tough with this trend is that it can easily come off as cheap/juvenile (especially when we can’t spend the dough on those designer pieces). It’s all about finding the right piece and styling it appropriately. Keep the styling minimal and muted and you’ll be in good shape. And I really love this trend paired with denim, feels so summer-y and fun.

The minute I saw this skirt in Zara I knew it had to be mine. The pleats with the length with the colors with the artsy/ organic-ness of the stripes was a match made in heaven for me. I paired it with a simple, lightweight sweater and my favorite lace-up block heels to complete this perfect spring look.
