It’s about time I made a post like this.
I’ve been trying to think of the best way to support the Black community right now, specifically through my blog, and I think shopping is the best and most relevant way to do it! Below I share 12 amazinggg black-owned brands separated into 3 categories: fashion, clean beauty, and home decor. Most are small businesses and many are women-owned as well 🙌
Recently I’ve learned how important supporting black-owned (and POC-owned) businesses is. In general, these businesses don’t have the resources of other businesses. Supporting them helps close the racial wealth gap and strengthen local economies (many brands below are local to NYC). So spend your money where it counts, be an ally, and continue to learn and be better.
Even if you can’t support any of these businesses today with a purchase, definitely give any that you’re vibing a follow on Instagram. I include the linked handle at the end of each description. Any support helps!

This brand is also sold out right now (ah! sorry! but too good not to share…) But they have shared a restock date of August 1st so I’ll make sure to share when that happens on insta!! KNC Beauty makes lip products as well as the CUTEST under-eye masks! You can get their eye and lip masks at Sephora, but they also sell lip balms and a lip scrub on their site. This is the first plant-based feminine care system on the market. Powered by herbs, made by women and 100% natural. I’m definitely going to be picking up some of their tampons next time I’m at Target to give them a try – the reviews are raving!! Follow and support them on insta @thehoneypotco
Home Decor:
9. The Raspberry Room
I’ve stopped at the kiosk several times when attending the FAD Market events in downtown Brooklyn. The choice of fabrics and print always draw me in. The designer, Tiffany, is so sweet and the pillow covers are really high-quality. I’m currently eyeing the black/white one that I featured above, it would look really great on my charcoal-colored couch… And P.S. she also sells cute face masks!
