How great is this lace cami?! (+ check out the back view below, the lace is gorgeous) It pairs so well with all the boyfriend/mom jeans I’ve been wearing to balance out their oversized and boy-ish vibes and have a more pretty & girly top to pair with them. I’ve found that a lace or silky cami like this one is incredibly versatile and pairs well with several different pieces for various occasions – so I decided to cover my favorite pairings in a post! 1. over a turtleneck
My favorite way to style a cami, especially during the winter! It’s both pretty and a little sexy but literally without showing any skin. Those are always the best outfits aren’t they?! Plus, I think this is a great duo for work. I feel like the usual style pairing for the office with a cami is a blazer… and don’t get me wrong – I do still love this combination. I personally wouldn’t sport it because I prefer not to get even close to exposing any cleavage/low neck, but that also just depends on where the cami lays. I think layering it with a turtleneck feels a lot more contemporary/young/fresh and a cooler take on styling the cami for the office.
2. over a plain white tee
Such a cute pairing! Feels a little school-girl-y but in a good way. I’d throw on some pumps or block heels with this to dress it up just a little, but other than that I’d say keep it simple! I think it probably looks best tucked into some high waisted bf jeans. LOVE the middle outfit above with the silky, nude-colored cami paired with the black denim – so chic!
3. with an oversized cardigan
Absolutely love this combo for a date night. So sexy (but not too sexy, ya know?), especially with the cardigan just falling off the shoulder slightly. I can’t quite figure out exactly why, but with this pairing I strongly believe that the cardigan needs to fall long, like to knees level, and feel maybe slightly oversized. Something about the boho vibes of a long cardigan paired with the fancy/pretty vibes of the cami create a beautiful juxtaposition.
