Happy Friday to all my lovely readers! Today I come to you with a new series for my site. I’m excited to introduce theEnd of Week Edit, a weekly blog post dedicated to all the discoveries that I’ve enjoyed that week and feel inclined to share. This could be really anything. It could be latest purchases or faves, funny videos or favorite tunes, or cool-looking DIYs or recipes.
This series has come to life from all my online-perusing and coming across new brands, styles, décor, music, giggles, food, spaces, etc. Obviously some weeks are busier than others – so this may be a list of a bunch, or just one quick blurb about a single topic. Let’s just see where this goes! Every Friday morning, you can expect to find me sharing something at least relatively interesting, entertaining, or informative. So without any further delay, welcome to my first installment of the End of Week Edit…
Have you guys heard of this store? They actual sent me a mailer a couple weeks ago and I’ve been periodically stalking their website and blog ever since. It’s a more modern design-focused division off of Crate & Barrel …and it is beautiful. I’ve always been a West Elm-girl through and through, but CB2 is quite a worthy adversary. Now I mostly just window/online shop as I currently have a tiny NYC apartment with two roommates, but soon enough I’ll have a larger space ready for my designer hands to get a hold of. Also their blog is a fantastic addition to their site – they pretty much cover anything décor or hostess-related; so things like home trends, best paint colors, recipes, and decorations.
She only has a few songs, but all of them have been featured in the various Spotify playlists I tend to gravitate towards (Pop Rising, New Music Friday, Indie Pop, Pop Chillout – yes yes I like Pop ok, there’s no shame in liking upbeat happy tunes!). My favorite song of hers is Down in Flames – highly recommend you check it out. It’s got a good beat, and I love Ella’s voice.
I went here for brunch last weekend and it was amazing! The two things to know about Sarabeth’s: you need a reservation (which you can most conveniently do on their website) and it’s expensive (I got the Four Flowers juice – 9 bucks for that LOL ….but oh so delicious #noregrets). But I think it’s the perfect place to take someone from out-of-town. Great food, great service, and the tables are actually a decent space away from each other (a rarity in the city). It’s quality and quaint – the two best adjectives for a brunch spot so I’ll definitely be going back sometime soon, probably get lunch next time since that menu looked just as awesome as the brunch one. If you are ever in NYC, definitely give it a try! There’s 5 locations: Upper East Side, Central Park South, Park Avenue South, Tribeca (the one I went to), and Upper West Side.
